The Gators got drowned, Duck flew high and the coliseum silenced.

Saturday night had many anxious to see how recent national champions and top dogs in the country will play. This weekend special include the washington USC upset, the gators getting clapped and the ducks flying over sanford.
Lets begin with the game that was highlighted 3 months ago when the schedules came out, number 7 UF vs. number 1 Alabama. This game was expected to be a thriller being that these two teams have been national champions in the las two years. This game began as planned, hard hits big plays and smart play calling. Alabama received and quickly drove the ball down the field to strike first blood, the score is 3-0. UF quickly replied and drove the length of the field to the one yard line. The crimson tide held their ground and on a fourth down attempt stopped the gators. From this moment on it went down hill for the gators. Alabama quickly put up 28 points and put the gators in a hole. By the third quarter the game was 31-6 bama and little was done by the gators. No points were scored in the fourth even though both teams scored a good amount of yards. This was a big demonstration by the Alabama cremson tide that they are still the best team in the nation and the team to beat. The gators now fall to 4 and 1 and need to bounce back if they want to stay in the championship race.
The USC Washington game was thought to be a walk in the park for USC being that they are ranked number 18 in the country and Washington is unranked. Well that was not the deal this weekend. Washington went in to the coliseum ready to play and gave everyone in there a bang for their buck. The game was close all throughout, both teams were never more than 10 points away. It seemed like the harder USC tried to play the harder Washington played. As the fourth quarter came about USC was leading by two. Washington received the ball with a couple minutes left on the clock and drove it down swiftly. With 3 seconds left Washington scores the game winning field goal and upset the mighty trojans.
The last but certainly not least is the Oregon Ducks vs. Sanford. This was really a shootout till the end type of game. Early turnovers and many mistakes made Oregon worry and question their capability. Sanford quickly got ahead of Oregon 21-3 and had Duck nation very worried. With a new quarterback and experienced offensive line the Oregon Ducks organized a comeback. They went into the half only down a touch down 24-31. They regrouped and made some adjustments at half and returned like the Oregon team that many know. They bounced back with a shutdown defense and a powerful offense. The Ducks allowed 0 points in the second half and accumulated a staggering 28 points giving them a 21 point victory.
Other games to check out are Michigan vs. Indiana and Wisconsin vs. Michigan St.

  1. You know what Dalis, I can not stomach the thought of Alabama winning another title game, better yet beating the gators. Clearly Uf is in a rebuilding stage. I mean we got all the talent in the world and not to mention world class coaches, kids just got to start stepping up and establishing themselves as stars. I cannot take to see UF stumble like this. The gators have not been beat like that since the crimson tide last season, and to have it done again but worse is heartbreaking. The record between Nick and Urban is 2-3 with Nick in the lead, this record just kills me. I only pray that we are better prepared when we see them again in the sec championship.

  2. Even though everyone loves the gators and what not, and not going to lie I like them to, I am glad they lost! They were getting to cocky with all their wins and how they think they are the best and how they killed us lol. Besides Alabama is number one what else do we expect.

  3. Alabama!!! Just kidding. I thought the Gators would've given them an upset...guess not. Well there’s always next time. I think the gators were too laid back and complacent they had the potential to win it just wasn’t applied on the field. I’m not even a Gator fan I just expected more out of them that game. . smh better luck next time.

  4. You know Dalis I am not even a football fan but when I watched that game I was in shock. UF is supposed to be the top dogs that kill every team out there and they totally got beat by Alabama. I couldn't even sit and finish the game it was so bad. I'm sure their ranking will definately go down because of the loss but knowing them they will be back.
